TEUNSANG: NTPC, along with Investment Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, has signed a tripartite agreement to provide critical diagnostic and other medical equipment in the District Hospital of Tuensang, Nagaland, under NTPC’s CSR scheme. Tuensang is the largest district of Nagaland with a 100 bedded District hospital that caters to patients from the remotest corners of the district and nearby areas.
The agreement was signed by Shashi Shekhar, AGM (HR), NTPC Bongaigaon, M Reny Wilfred, Joint Secretary, IDAN, Government of Nagaland, and Dr. Kika Longkhumer, Jt. Director, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, in the presence of Ekonthung Ngullie, AGM (EMG, Ash Utilization and O&M/Civil), NTPC Bongaigaon, and J Changsang, Under Secretary, IDAN, Government of Nagaland.
Benefits of the Initiative to Enhance Healthcare Facilities
This initiative will go a long way in enhancing the healthcare facilities available to the people of Tuensang and nearby districts. With the deployment of advanced medical equipment, the hospital will be better equipped to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. NTPC’s CSR scheme has been actively involved in the development of healthcare infrastructure across the country and this latest initiative in Nagaland is a testament to the company’s commitment to social development.
