Raigarh: Taking a big step for the development of education in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh NTPC Lara has provided financial assistance for development of infrastructure of Swamy Atmanand School in Raigarh district under community development initiative.
In this connection the cheque of first instalment of Rs. 6 crore 36 lakh provided by Diwakar Kaushik, Executive Director (NTPC Lara) to Taran Prakash Sinha, IAS, Collector, Raigarh on 3rd March 2023. Total 15 crore will be provided by NTPC for renovation of all Atmanand schools in Raigarh district. Atmanand school is the flagship education programme of the Govt of Chhattisgarh, to provide quality education to the children.
It is noteworthy to mention that, NTPC Lara has been taking various initiatives for development of education in Chhattisgarh. Some big-ticket works are construction of IIIT at Raipur, development of Raigarh medical college and Kirodimal Institute of Technology in Raigarh.
On this occasion Kanheya Das, AGM (HR) and Shri Rajendra Kumar Behera, DGM (R&R) was present.
