NEW DELHI: NTPC Ltd. celebrated Swachhata Pakhwada Abhiyan across plants under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Mission. As a part of this abhiyan, cleanliness inspection of all sections within and outside the plant premises was conducted by senior officers, employees and their families.
The Swachhata Pakhwada Abhiyan is being carried across NTPC projects in support of Swachhata Abhiyan from May 16 to 31st, 2018. The focus during Abhiyan is also to bring the behavioural and attitudinal changes through innovative activities, so that the ultimate goal of the Abhiyan could be achieved and sustained.
Different coloured dustbins for wet and dry waste collection and segregation are being used at several locations to help create awareness in the endeavour of having clean cities and towns.
People from surrounding areas of NTPC projects came out to clean their surroundings and initiate Swacchata awareness program at village schools and other common areas, to achieve the common goal – cleanliness.
Under the government’s Swachh Bharat Mission of ensuring hygienic and clean living & working surroundings, NTPC has been in the forefront of effectively implementing cleanliness drives to ensure cleanliness levels in rural and urban areas, including schools.
