NASHIK, MAHARASHTRA (India CSR): Meritus AI and Play Learn Foundation | Indian Girls Code, , in collaboration with the Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj (MVPS), Nashik, successfully implemented a CSR initiative aimed at transforming STEM and robotics education in rural government schools across the Nashik region.
The initiative focused on empowering students through screen-free robotics, coding, and hands-on STEM learning, ensuring that learners from rural and underserved communities gain access to future-ready skills such as critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
As part of the program, robotics kits were distributed to rural government schools, enabling educators to integrate experiential and activity-based learning into classrooms. This effort seeks to reduce the educational divide and nurture hidden talent among students from Tier 2, Tier 3, and deep rural areas.

The distribution ceremony was held in the presence of eminent dignitaries from Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj. The event was graced by Dr. Nitin B. Thakare, Sarchitnis (General Secretary), MVPS; Dr. B. Dhoke, Education Officer, MVPS; Manisha Bhamre, Corporate Relations Officer, NDMVP; and Mohammed Zabiullah Hamid, Global Engagement & Brand Strategist, Meritus AI. Delegates from MVPS also attended the event and appreciated the impact of the initiative.
Addressing the school principals and educators, Dr. Nitin B. Thakare emphasized the importance of introducing STEM education at an early stage, particularly for rural students, to unlock their potential and prepare them for emerging technologies and career opportunities.
Mohammed Zabiullah Hamid, the Special Invitee, shared insights on responsible technology adoption in education. He highlighted the need to embrace the positive aspects of technology for future learning while being mindful of its limitations. He also encouraged educators and students to learn, innovate, and give back to society, ensuring that knowledge gained contributes meaningfully to community development.
The handover of robotics kits marked a significant milestone in strengthening STEM education infrastructure in rural schools and inspiring the next generation of innovators. This initiative reaffirms Meritus AI’s commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive, and accessible STEM education across India.
