Chennai: Lumina Datamatics® Limited, one of the largest service providers to global publishers and eCommerce companies, on Thursday, April 21, 2022, hosted the beneficiaries of one of its corporate social responsibility programmes run in collaboration with Chennai’s Aaruthal Foundation to award them with certificates of completion.
The company felicitated its skill development programme participants. The program sought to train young women from economically underprivileged families as General Duty Assistants (GDAs) to help support nurses at healthcare institutions and other patients needing primary care. The two-month programme helps these women find sustainable employment.
On completing the first batch of 30 GDAs, Lumina Datamatics® Limited decided to mark the accomplishment through an award ceremony at their office in Ascendas IT Park, Chennai. Company executives and senior management awarded certificates of completion to the aspiring candidates.
“We are proud to felicitate these women who worked hard to come this far,” said Mr Sameer L. Kanodia, Managing Director and CEO, Lumina Datamatics® Limited. “This training will help their skills be recognised and empower these young women and their families financially and socially. I convey my best wishes to them on behalf of us at Lumina Datamatics.”
The Managing Trustee of Aaruthal Foundation, Mr. A. Kannan said, “It is indeed a proud moment to see our program participants reach this milestone. We are thankful to Lumina Datamatics® Limited for facilitating this programme and hosting us today. It will help boost our participants’ confidence and give them a moment to celebrate and cherish.”
