PRAYAGRAJ: With a view to provide better and amenities to pilgrims of KumbhMela, LG India has installed 16 water purifiers booths at various locations which includes lost and found centres and washing machines are also installed at certain locations.
Company said that the purifiers in the Kumbh is providing purest form of drinking water, and by using LG washing machines, pilgrims are washing their clothes freely during the entire duration of the mela.
Kim Ki Wan, MD, LG Electronics says, “The initiatives are gestures to showcase our deep commitment and care for the Indian society. We hope to bring a positive change in the society through such initiatives.”
LG is distributing bands called Suraksha Dhaga at the lost and found center, which is helping pilgrims to locate their relatives in case they lose them in the surging crowd. These bands have helpline number along with the contact details of the guardian. Direction boards are deployed to guide people to the nearest lost and found center.
The KumbhMela 2019 at Prayagraj, began on Jan 15 and is expected to see a record turnout of around fifteen crore people, making it the biggest human congregation. The Mela is a part of UNESCO’S Representative list of Intangible Cultural Events of Humanity.
