NEW DELHI (India CSR): In recognition of the transformative power of education in shaping India’s future, Neelam Yadav, Principal of the Government Girl’s School in Tapukara, Rajasthan (supported by the Honda India Foundation’s CSR initiative), has been honoured with the National Teacher’s Award 2025. The award was conferred by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu on the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2025.
Among only 45 teachers selected across the country, the recognition for Yadav is a moment of immense pride not only for the school but also for Honda India Foundation (HIF) which has been supporting educational institutes in the region as part of its CSR efforts.
This achievement also highlights the critical role of educators in creating inclusive, high-quality education for all. It reflects the positive impact of HIF’s initiatives that focusses on empowering girl students to pursue higher education.
Education has always been one of the strongest tools for empowerment. By enabling young girls to access quality education and learning opportunities, HIF is helping young women build bright futures.
Through its continuous efforts, HIF has worked to increase school enrolment rates, reduce dropout rates, and improve both academic and extracurricular performance. Ms. Yadav’s recognition is a testament to these ongoing efforts to uplift communities, support educators, and foster equal opportunities in education, especially for young girls aspiring to excel.
The Government Girls’ School in Tapukara, supported under HIF’s education initiatives since March 2020, has grown into one of the largest in the region. The school today offers:
- Spacious and well-ventilated modern classrooms
- Library, playgrounds, digital & smart classrooms
- Computer labs and experiential learning tools
- Kitchen & mid-day meal facilities
- Basic utilities like furniture, water and electricity
Beyond infrastructure, HIF also focuses on creating a holistic learning environment through:
- Technology-led education: smart classrooms, digital labs and interactive learning methods
- Career counselling for Classes X & XII to guide students in making informed career choices
- Skill development & vocational training at the Honda Vocational Training Institute (HVTI) in areas like Welding, Fitter, Paint and Apprenticeship
HIF is also working towards establishing a Government Girls’ College in Tapukara to provide higher and technical education, ensuring employability for young women from the region.
