- The program has skilled more than 5,000 youth
- 4,350 youths have been placed or have become self-entrepreneurs
In the heartlands of rural India, where unemployment is a persistent challenge, Hindustan Zinc’s Zinc Kaushal program continues to upskill rural & urban youth aged 18-35, including school dropouts, unemployed youth, and those who want to upgrade their skills. Youth from surrounding 5 districts of the operational area – Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara and Ajmer are covered through this initiative. The training program is designed post assessment surveys conducted in geographical areas to identify various areas of interest of the youth along with employment opportunities available in the market.
This innovative program continues to bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity for several youth every year. Lavina Sisodia’s hailing from a local village of Chanderiya in Chittorgarh District is one such example. Her journey from financial adversity to empowerment post joining BFSI training course exemplifies the transformative power of the program. Today, she has become a role model for all the young girls in her village who aspire to become independent.
Similarly, Ankit Sharma’s tale echoes across the rustic landscapes of Palka village in the Bassi area. With dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer, Ankit encountered several hurdles that threatened to dim his aspirations. At a time when all the doors were closed, Zinc Kaushal program breathed new life into his dreams, propelling him towards success and career growth.
Zinc Kaushal Kendra more than just a training hub, fosters holistic development, nurturing individuals equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world. With a blend of technical expertise and mentorship, the program fuels entrepreneurial ventures, seeding growth and prosperity in the communities it serves.
So far, Hindustan Zinc has empowered over 5,000 rural and urban youths, and over 4,350 youths have been placed or ventured into becoming self-entrepreneur.
