Renewal of MoU between HCCB and Government of Telangana Promises Strengthened Future for Youth
HYDERABAD (India CSR): Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), a premier FMCG company in India, recently confirmed the renewal of its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Telangana. The renewed commitment aims to upskill an extra 10,000 college students by the academic year 2023-24. The announcement comes after the successful training of 10,196 students in Telangana through the collaborative efforts of HCCB and the state government in their first partnership year, 2022.
Extension of Successful Initiative
The announcement of this extended partnership occurred in the presence of various dignitaries, including key officials from the government, HCCB, and the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK).
The “Campus to Corporate” Program
The upskilling program, dubbed “Campus to Corporate”, intends to prepare college students for industry demands. The initiative sees TASK and HCCB undertaking various responsibilities, such as arranging student batches, creating training calendars, developing content, identifying trainers, and conducting both virtual and physical training sessions.

Government of Telangana’s Views on the Partnership
Ch Malla Reddy, the Honourable Minister for Labour and Employment, Factories, Skill Development in the Government of Telangana, highlighted the strategic partnership’s importance and the role of HCCB in supporting the state government’s vision for innovation, infrastructure, and inclusive growth.

Dr. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Industries & Commerce, IT, E&C, lauded HCCB’s contributions towards realising the government’s vision of skilling the state’s youth and enhancing their employability. He expressed optimism towards extending these programs to further enhance financial and digital literacy.
TASK’s Reflection on the Partnership
Shrikant Sinha, CEO of TASK, referred to the association with HCCB as a significant milestone, noting the training of over 10,000 students in the initiative’s first year.

As part of the initiative, HCCB and the Government of Telangana provide joint certifications to students completing training from the Career Development Centre (CDC). Future plans include involving manpower resourcing companies to enhance curriculums and increase the rate of placements of trained youth from CDC. Additionally, both parties aim to promote programs that enhance financial and digital literacy.
