MUMBAI (India CSR): Godrej Enterprises Group has announced a strategic collaboration with Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to aid in modernising traditional trades like welding, fitters, and electricians, as well as introducing IoT orientation in select cities across Mumbai, Raigad and Satara and signed a PPP model MoU with ITI Karjat and three year MOUs with other ITIs. The collaboration is aimed at modernising the infrastructure of these institutions, updating their curriculum with real-world industry knowledge, and providing hands-on experience to bridge the growing skill gap in India’s manufacturing and engineering sectors.
Decade-Long Partnership Continues
Since a decade, Godrej Enterprises Group is working closely with 17 ITIs located in Karjat, Panvel, Pen, Lonand, Wai, Mumbai, and Thane to modernize traditional trades like welding, fitters, and electricians and introduction of new trade streams like Machinist and Industrial Painters, which are in high demand in the Khalapur and Karjat regions due to the needs of the local industry.
