BENGALURU: Extending solidarity and to support the thousands of people adversely affected by the recent flood in various parts of Karnataka, DXC Technology organised to dispatch several essential material kits worth Rs. 50 lacs from Bangalore.
DXC organized an event on the 31st August, 2019 inviting its employees and their family members to volunteer and help to prepare the material kits. 400 employees and leadership team turned up with their family members and prepared 1000 essential material kits, each containing 45 items, adequate for each family to sustain for a week.
“We realized the people who were returning from their camps and shelter homes after the disaster required immediate support to get back to their normal life. We were overwhelmed with the support and participations from our employees on this drive.”, said Romi Malhotra, Managing Director, DXC Technology India.
DXC Technology had organized similar drive for the flood victims in Kerala and Orissa as well. DXC is also helping rebuild three public health centers in Kerala.
