The Red Cross Society, Faridabad uses wheelchairs as part of its initiatives for the provision of relief for the mitigation of suffering caused by any natural disaster.
Faridabad (India CSR): In yet another initiative to empower the underprivileged section of society, the DLF Foundation, donated 50 wheelchairs to the Red Cross Society, Faridabad. DLF Foundation is the CSR arm of India’s leading real estate developer, DLF Ltd. The wheelchairs were handed over by the DLF Foundation to Bijender Sorot, Secretary, Red Cross Society. These wheelchairs will be stationed at the Red Cross Society’s community facilities in sectors 10 and 11, Faridabad.
Commenting on this, Gayatri Paul, CEO, DLF Foundation, said, ” The donation of the 50 wheelchairs to the Red Cross Society, Faridabad is our small humble attempt to support the specially abled and senior citizens. We are confident that this initiative will provide mobility and help improve the lives of those in need “
Bijender Sorot, Secretary, Red Cross Society, Faridabad, expressed gratitude for the generous donation, saying, “The wheelchairs provided by DLF Foundation will be used for the benefit of society for the specially abled and senior citizens.”
The Red Cross Society, Faridabad uses wheelchairs as part of its initiatives for the provision of relief for the mitigation of suffering caused by any natural disaster, the improvement of health and hygiene, as well as nursing and ambulance work. People affected by the mentioned problems can avail of the wheelchairs.
