Children of Swiggy Delivery Partners to receive scholarships to support their school education. Swiggy is looking at rewarding more than Rs. 50 lakhs in the first round of the scholarship program
MUMBAI: Swiggy, a food delivery platform launched a scholarship program called Swiggy Udaan to support the educational responsibilities of their Delivery Partners.
Swiggy’s delivery partners are integral to its service and success. While the platform is in a constant endeavor to provide them with good and consistent payouts and incentives, many partners, especially ones with children, value benefits that help them juggle the demands of a full-time career with the needs of their family, the company informed.
Education is one such emotional chord that touches every parent and a desire for their kids to seek the best education. After the success of the Swiggy Smiles program, Swiggy has introduced this new scholarship program for the children of Delivery Partners while understanding the importance of childcare benefits for a working parent.
Initially launched as a pilot in Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi and Dehradun, Swiggy Udaan is a comprehensive scheme giving wings to the children of all active delivery partners who are enrolled in a government or a private school from elementary to secondary level (Nursery to Class 10).
Swiggy received an overwhelming response from over 2000 delivery partners to register for the selection process in the first round of the program. Basis the selection process, over 1,000 Delivery Partners were eligible to receive a scholarship of Rs. 5000 per child across the four cities. The total pay-outs in this pilot round will amount up to more than Rs. 50 lakhs.

And there is nothing better than supporting their families. We wish to make education accessible to the children of our partners and Swiggy Udaan is just a small step in that direction.”
