NEW DELHI: Axis Bank hosted ‘Jobex’ – an exclusive mega job fair, to provide an employment platform for Delhi Polices’ retired personnel and children. The event was inaugurated by Suchana Patnaik, President-Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS), Delhi.
The event, organized at police training ground, Kingsway Camp, saw over 100 corporates interviewing and offering jobs to the applicants. More than 8500 candidates were provided with registration forms by Delhi police officials. These forms were then uploaded on an online portal which the hiring companies could access, identify and select candidates for a potential job interview.
In the second leg of the process, over 6500 candidates were selected for an interview. At this event, interviews were conducted and the selected candidates were given on the job offers. The event was co-sponsored by Max Life Insurance, one of the leading life insurers in India.
Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police Delhi, remarked “This is a great initiative by Axis Bank in collaboration with Delhi Police and Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS) to provide such kind of employment platform. I am excited to observe how this has helped the Delhi Police community by creating jobs for wards of serving and retired Delhi Police Personnel and also ex-policemen. The facet of conducting interviews and offering positions within a few hours is an interesting concept. I would like to wish the selected candidates all the best for their future”.
Nuti Chakravathy, Regional Branch Banking Head, North, Axis Bank, at the event said “We are happy to be of service to uniformed forces and Government institutions and we will continue to offer special and customized banking services catering their needs. The bank has been at the forefront to offer products and services that are exclusive to defence and police forces under ‘Power Salute’. The job fair is to further extend our gratitude to the forces by providing them with a platform for employment opportunities. We believe that a forum of this stature will symbiotically benefit interviewees to find ideal jobs and the corporates to find talent with the right skill-sets”.
The Bank had also hosted Jobex fair for Mumbai Police in June, 2018 which was attended by over 1000 participants and 20 corporates.
