Raipur: After the beginning of the new academic session, special emphasis is being given to the students of government schools in subjects including language, mathematics, science, and others and completing courses in an appropriate way to improve the habit to learn.
The decision comes as the school education department felt that there has been an adverse great impact on the ability of children to learn during the covid period. Now, teachers have been instructed to identify and upgrade the poor children. After teaching one or two chapters of the new class, it would be checked whether the students have learned it properly or not. If the students have not learned or understood properly, the teachers will have to teach and make them understand the chapter.
A school education department release said special emphasis will be given to Hindi, English, and Mathematics. Although the children have reached the next class, their level is the same as that of the previous class.
Officials have instructed that it is the responsibility of the school head of monitoring whether the teachers are teaching in a way they have been instructed. This will also be examined further by the respective officials.
Schools remained closed for a longer time during pandemic and most of the time students taught in an online mode. The Education department of state conducted a survey regarding the effectiveness of online education.
In the same report, it was found that the level of many children is not accurate according to the class they have been promoted to.
Officials have been instructed to pay more attention to Language and mathematics. The students should be regularly assessed to know about their knowledge regarding their subjects.
And until the student learns it properly, the teacher will emphasize the children to learn it accurately, then only will move to the next chapter. (Times of India)
