RAIPUR, CHHATTISGARH (India CSR): Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister, Arun Saw, today inaugurated the newly constructed Shashibala English-Hindi Medium Higher Secondary School at Danveer Bhama Shah Ward, Gudiyari, Raipur. Built at a cost of Rs 3.37 crore, the state-of-the-art school features modern educational facilities aimed at enhancing learning experiences for students.
During the inauguration, Saw engaged in an interactive session with students, motivating them to pursue education with dedication. He also announced a significant initiative for female students in the state. Under the Chhattisgarh government’s new scheme, girls who have passed Class 10 and 12 from government schools will receive Rs 30,000 financial assistance to continue their college education.
“This initiative will ensure that financial constraints no longer force students to abandon their studies. Girls can now complete their education and realize their dreams,” said the Deputy Chief Minister.
Inspiring Words for Students
Addressing the gathering, Saw congratulated students, teachers, and parents on the new school. During a conversation with students, a student named Anushka Sharma asked Saw about his school days. He shared, “Until Class 3, I studied in my village at home, not in a proper school building. We used to sit on mats and even plaster our floors with cow dung every Saturday. Today, the government is providing grand, modern schools for you. I urge you to focus fully on your studies and make Chhattisgarh proud.”
Government Focus on Education
Saw emphasized that the Vishnu Dev government is committed to improving school and higher education. “Good schools are being built, a better learning environment is being provided, and students’ needs are being prioritized in school development,” he said. He also highlighted the rapid development of Raipur city, stating that it ranks fourth in India for garbage-free cities, a milestone achieved with the contributions of residents.
