Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan Witnesses Significant Resolutions
RAIPUR (India CSR): Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai presided over a pivotal Cabinet Meeting at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan today, where a series of important decisions were made, impacting various sectors and communities in the state.
1. Investigating Irregularities in State Service Examination-2021
In a crucial move towards ensuring transparency and fairness, the Cabinet has resolved to refer the case of alleged irregularities in the State Service Examination-2021, conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, to the Central Investigation Bureau. This decision follows the release of the selection list for 170 posts in 12 departments under the said examination. This step underscores the government’s commitment to upholding the integrity of its public service examinations.
2. Supporting Farmers: Enhanced Paddy Procurement
In a significant decision for the agricultural sector, the Cabinet has approved the procurement of up to 21 quintals of paddy per acre from the state’s farmers at a support price for the Kharif marketing year 2023-24. This move not only aligns with the Chhattisgarh government’s promise to purchase 21 quintals of paddy from farmers but also resonates with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantee, thereby bolstering the government’s support for the farming community.
3. Food Security for Antyodaya and Priority Ration Card Holders
In a landmark decision aimed at enhancing food security, the Chhattisgarh government has resolved to distribute free food grains to ‘Antyodaya’ and ‘priority’ category ration card holders for the next five years. This initiative, under the Chhattisgarh Food and Nutrition Security Act 2012, mirrors the provisions of the National Food Security Act-2013. Approximately 67 lakh 92 thousand 153 ration card holding families will benefit from this program, receiving free rice and other grains at ration shops, thus ensuring sustained food security for the state’s most vulnerable populations.
The Cabinet’s decisions reflect a comprehensive approach towards addressing key issues ranging from administrative integrity to agricultural support and food security, illustrating the government’s dedication to fostering a just and prosperous society.
