New Delhi: On January 9, 2023, Chetak Foundation, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF), and VisionSpring launched a road safety campaign in Delhi Airport, New Delhi. The first phase of the campaign included an eye check-up camp for over 100 cab drivers, with free spectacles provided to those in need of vision correction.
The partners plan to hold additional camps to cover thousands of drivers and improve their eye health and road safety. The campaign acknowledges the hard work and contribution of drivers to the tourism industry in India and their role in nation-building.
Dr Ashwani Lohani, CEO of GMRVF, commented on the importance of the initiative in ensuring road safety for all road users.
Chetak Foundation has also partnered with various organizations, such as Delhi Skill & Entrepreneur University, Max & Fortis Hospitals, and Honda Motors, for health, nutrition, and road safety projects. Chetak Group, established in 1979, provides comprehensive logistics solutions, including transportation, warehousing, and customs clearance, to major national and global automobile brands.
Chetak Foundation has also partnered with various organizations for health, nutrition, and road safety projects.
GMR Varalakshmi Foundation is the CSR arm of GMR Group and works with communities surrounding the group’s business operations to improve education, health, and nutrition, and to promote environmental sustainability.
