CBRE’s commitment to enhancing this corpus to Rs. 15 crore by year-end is a testament to their dedication towards driving meaningful and lasting change through their CSR initiatives.
NEW DELHI (India CSR): CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd., a dominant real estate consulting firm in India, announced an immediate Rs. 5 crore investment towards their newly unveiled CSR initiative ‘CBRE Cares – Ek Pehal’.
This strategic commitment is aimed at bolstering the living standards of about 3 lakh migrant laborers and their families.
CBRE’s commitment to escalating the corpus to Rs. 15 crore by the end of the year signifies the company’s recognition of the enormous task at hand and its willingness to contribute substantially to help migrant labourers and their families.
This massive financial pledge is an emphatic expression of CBRE’s long-term commitment to meaningful CSR initiatives in India. Through ‘Ek Pehal’, CBRE is not just pledging financial support but envisioning a better, more inclusive future for those who need it most.
The focus of ‘CBRE Cares – Ek Pehal’ is to provide better access to health services, formal education, and improved nutritional standards for migrant labourers across cities like Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, and Pune, with the child rights organization, Bal Raksha Bharat, as the implementing partner.
The earmarked funds will be channelized towards various interventions including health check-ups, remedial education, and nutrition programs, alongside promoting government health schemes.
Both Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO of CBRE, and Sudarshan Suchi, CEO of Save the Children, expressed their optimism for the initiative. The ‘Ek Pehal’ mission resonates with CBRE’s commitment towards an equitable quality of life, especially for those migrant workers and families contributing significantly to the modern infrastructural landscape but are trapped in the vicious cycle of poverty. On the other hand, Save the Children considers the initiative as a platform to address urban malnutrition and learning gaps.
