MUMBAI: Chiara Mio, chairwoman of the Sustainability Committee of Benetton Group will deliver a keynote talk India CSR Leadership Summit & Awards being organized by India CSR Network on May 26, 2016 at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai, India.
She will share her experiences and practices in building sustainable organization as well as her vision and values of Benetton Group towards global leadership. The day long India CSR Leadership Summit & Awards will witness vibrant political leaders, CSR think tanks, thinkers, social reformers and Govt. officials. It would be one of the biggest CSR knowledge and idea sharing forum in the year 2017.
She leads Benetton Group’s Sustainability Committee, a body set up by the company to address – in a strategic way – issues of sustainability, starting from governance and top management.
With a degree in Business Administration from Venice’s Università Ca’ Foscari, Chiara Mio is currently Professor at the university’s Department of Management, where she teaches Management Control and Strategic planning and sustainability management. She is also a member of the university’s PhD in Science and Climate Change Management faculty board. Since 2010, Mio has also served on the editorial board of the journal Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management; her research has appeared in numerous national and international journals.
Over the last 20 years she has been involved in research within the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) field and taken on national and international assignments. In this capacity, she is currently chair of the ESG Task Force for Fee in Brussels.
Author of articles and books on corporate reporting, corporate social responsibility, performance measurement, sustainability as a strategic perspective in value creation and integrated reporting, Mio is active in the international research community and in the national community as an expert professional.
