Boudh: Boudh Distillery Pvt. Ltd (BDPL) has donated an advanced RO water purifier to the community health center at Purana Cuttack. BDPL has taken this initiative under their drinking water facilitation campaign in a bid to fight back chronic jaundice and other drinking water-borne diseases in Boudh district of Odisha.
In the presence of the medical officer in charge, Rabi Narayan Parmanik and Managing Director of BDPL, Ritesh Sahu, the Chief District Medical Officer, Bijan Kishore Mohanty, inaugurated the 120 litres per hour purifying capacity RO water purifier.
“Corporate Social Responsibility should not be restricted to traditional practices. It has to be need-based. I am sure that others will follow this initiative of BDPL”, said Bijan. He also appreciated the initiative taken by BDPL.
“When our CSR team found drinking water is the most needed thing at this point, we started the drinking water facilitation campaign in a first track manner. Apart from this, we have installed different RO purifiers in different schools and temples in the past, and there are some more to be installed soon”, said Sahu.
Keeping the condition of drinking water in the locality, the company has done a lot of activities. Recently it has installed RO Water Purifier in schools of four villages namely Rambikata, Bhartapur, Sampoch and Shyamsundarpur, of Harabhanga block of Boudh ensuring purified drinking water for around 800 students.
