KORBA : Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (Balco) has been honoured with the Madhav Rao Sapre Award for the year 2015 for its outstanding contribution to the Nation’s Development, Public Relations and Mass Communications. The award was received on behalf of Balco by Officers of the Communications Department, namely Pran Nath Mishra, Manager, Deepak Vishwakarma, Associate Manager, and Vijay Bajpai, Asst. Manager. The Award was presented by Surendra Singh, Director General of Police, who was the Chief Guest at the function. The Award function was organised by ‘Dushyant Kumar Pandulipi Sangrahalaya’ in Bhopal on the occasion of World Museum Day.
On this occasion renowned Stage Artist Mrs. Swastika Chakravarty was also felicitated by the Sangrahalaya.Singh congratulated Balco Management and Mrs. Chakravarty and also gave them his good wishes. In his address on the occasion,Pran Nath Mishra said that it is only due to the miraculous blessing of Chhattisgarh’s fertile land that has given birth to renowned personalities and has attracted lot of industries to set their base and flourish.
The Award presented to Balco in fact reinforces the fact that Chhattisgarh has developed entrepreneurs who continuously innovate their working through creativity. He further shared that due to Balco’s contribution, the Country is today self-sufficient in Aluminium production.
Aluminium manufactured by Balco is being used for lot of expeditions of importance to the Defence sector as well as The Space Research Sector. He further added that the scope of ‘Dushyant Kumar Pandulipi Sangrahalaya’ is constantly increasing. It offers a special platform for the expression of Literary and Cultural interests on a national basis.
