500 children from 27 ‘Aanganbadis’ from Balco’s Bodai –Daldali Bauxite Mining area in District Kabeerdham get uniforms under ‘Mamta Project’

BALCONAGAR (Korba): Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (Balco) has distributed uniforms to nearly 500 children belonging to 27 ‘Anganbadis’ from its Bodai-Daldali Bauxite Mines area in District Kabeerdham. Ramesh Nair, CEO and Whole Time Director, Balco was the Chief Guest at the function. The programme was held under the ‘Mamta Project’ in the Daldali Balak Ashram.
The programme was attended by local representatives as well as Balco officers. Parwati Nanhe Paraste, Sarpanch Village Daldali Panchayat, Prashant Yadav, Sarpanch, Pipurkhunta, B.K.Sriwastwa, Head-Community Relations, Balco, Afroz Ali, Associate Vice President, Coal Block, B. Siva Kumar, Head-Health, Safety and Environment. S.C.Sao, Head-Mines Development, Rajesh Mishra-AGM-Mines, Manoj Modi, AGM-Mines, Mukesh Mehta,AGM-Finance, Amit Singh, AGM-Corporate Affairs and Pankaj Mahanta, Mines Manager were present. Sriwastwa and Ashish Ranjan, Head, CSR apprised the residents about different community development programmes being run by Balco Management.
A glimpse of the ‘Mamta Project’
Balco had started the ‘Mamta’ project in association with Women and Child Welfare Department. The purpose of the project is the general health care of women and children, getting relief from malnutrition, to do away with gender discrimination, improvement in established infrastructure, to provide educational and sports materials to children and to see to the availability of the requirement of different instruments.
