New Delhi – Bajaj Finance Ltd spent Rs 56.78 crore on corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities as against mandatory expenditure of Rs 56.59 crore in FY 2018-19.
The average net profit of the company for last three financial years prior to FY 2019 is Rs 2,829.63 crore.
Bajaj Group implements many CSR initiatives of substantial value through its Group Charitable Trusts operating at various locations in the country.
Bajaj Group addresses the needs of communities residing in the vicinity of its facilities, taking sustainable initiatives in the areas of health, education, environment conservation, infrastructure, community development and response to natural calamities.
The CSR committee was constituted by the Board of the company and comprises of Rahul Bajaj as Chairman, Nanoo Pamnani and Sanjiv Bajaj as Members.
The company aims to identify sustainable projects which will benefit the society over long periods and broadly focuses on education for self-reliance and growth, promoting health, encourage self help and sustainability of natural resources.
