NEW DELHI (India CSR): Axis Max Life Insurance Ltd. has taken a significant step towards environmental sustainability by planting over 7,000 saplings across 35 cities as part of its ‘Insure Earth’ campaign. The initiative saw active participation from 1,700 volunteers, including employees, agency partners, and local community members, working together to create greener and cleaner surroundings.

This synchronized tree plantation drive was conducted across Aarohan branches in Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities, covering states such as Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.

Greener Cities, Cleaner Communities

The ‘Insure Earth’ initiative is designed to promote environmental awareness and sustainable living. By planting saplings in parks, schools, and public spaces, the campaign aims to transform these locations into lush green hotspots, improving air quality and enhancing community well-being.

Beyond plantation, Axis Max Life is working closely with local communities to foster shared ownership of these green spaces. Residents are encouraged to nurture the saplings, ensuring long-term sustainability and making a meaningful impact on their environment.

Commitment to Environmental Stewardship

Speaking about the initiative, Sumit Madan, Chief Distribution Officer, Axis Max Life, shared the company’s vision:

“At Axis Max Life, we believe in delivering on our promise of ‘Double Bharosa’—protecting not just the financial future of our customers but also safeguarding our planet for generations to come. As we expand into smaller cities, we aim to build deeper relationships with communities, offering financial security while actively participating in their environmental well-being. Through ‘Insure Earth,’ we are fostering unity, raising awareness, and creating a lasting impact on local ecosystems.”

Encouraging Community Participation

The campaign is structured to engage people at the grassroots level, ensuring that sustainability is not just a corporate agenda but a community-driven movement.

Anurag Chauhan, General Counsel, Company Secretary, and Head of ESG at Axis Max Life, emphasized the power of collective efforts:

“The ‘Insure Earth’ campaign encourages local communities to take charge of their environment. Small steps towards sustainability, like planting and nurturing trees, can have a profound impact on carbon reduction and climate resilience. By creating green spaces, we aim to contribute to the holistic development of these regions and ensure a sustainable future for all.”

Axis Max Life’s Long-Term Sustainability Goals

‘Insure Earth’ is an integral part of Axis Max Life’s broader CSR framework, aligning with its mission to build a sustainable and socially responsible business. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to environmental conservation, social responsibility, and corporate sustainability.

With a successful rollout in Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities, the company aims to scale up the initiative, planting more trees and expanding its green footprint across India. By integrating environmental sustainability with financial well-being, Axis Max Life is leading by example, proving that businesses can make a tangible difference in shaping a better future.
