Understanding the never ending demand of Blood for patients undergoing treatment and planned surgeries, KMCT organized blood donation camp at Group’s Plehar plant on 26th April 2016 and at Head Office Marol Andheri on 27th April 2016. Received remarkable response from our associates as 169 units of blood was collected. Blood donors were included from office staff to Management officials who did a great job by contributing in Nobel cause.
Camp was organized in association with KEM Hospital blood bank from Parel Mumbai. Average 200 units of blood are in demand at alone KEM hospital which is a huge demand. Patients from all over India come for treatment at this Government run hospital.
Many blood donors felt honored by donating the blood for needy people, some of them donated first time and become part of socially responsible citizens group.
One of the proud female blood donors Ms. Reshma Toraskar shared her experience, “It was a very proud moment for me on 27th April 2016 when in my life first time I donated blood. Only a needy person knows the importance of blood but we as an individual should also understand the same. When our one step towards blood donation can save one life, if every individual decided to donate, there will be no shortage of blood in the World. People should live for loving & caring the society. Blood donation is just one way of that”.
KMCT team, HR & Admin, Security and Management officials were present during these camps.
