Arun Arora Heads Chetak Foundation, a CSR arm of Chetak Logistics, was set up as a tribute to Late Shri Jai Karan Sharma, Founder of Chetak Group.
New Delhi: A Communications and Development sector veteran Arun Arora, Head and Director, Chetak Foundation, was bestowed with the Mahatma Award for Leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Social Impact. A Social Impact Organisation.
Besides Arun Arora, other prominent people who were honoured include Padam Bhushan Shri /Smt Raja Radha Reddy, Lila Poonawalla, Dr. Kiran Bedi, Shri Yogendra Yadav, Dr. Payal Kanodia and Dr. UBN Rao among others. Some notable past recipients are Ratan Tata, TATA Group, Rajashree Birla, Aditya Birla Group, Azim Premji, Wipro, Manish Sisodia, Deputy CM of Delhi, Shabana Azmi, Indian Actress and Literary Historian, Bindeshwar Pathak, Sulabh International etc.

This will encourage me to work even harder on various projects being undertaken by the Chetak Foundation that are aligned to UN SDGs in the area of Nutrition and Hunger alleviation Health & Fitness, Environment and Road Safety to have a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged communities.”

The Foundation has tied up and works closely with Delhi Skill & Entrepreneur University, CRPF, DMRC and renowned hospitals like Sir Ganga Ram, Max and Fortis Hospitals for carrying out its social initiatives like the distribution of dry ration, sanitisation kits and safety helmets. The Foundation, in association with VisionSpring, also aspires to check the eyesight of a million truck drivers and provide them with free spectacles over the next five years to enhance road safety.
