MADHYA PRADESH (India CSR): The Adani Skill Development Centre (ASDC) at ACC Kymore is making a lasting impact by providing essential skills to young women in rural areas, helping them overcome financial challenges and secure meaningful employment.
Empowering Rural Youth
Madhya Pradesh, 9 October 2024: ACC, part of the Adani Group, is driving transformative change in rural communities through its partnership with the Adani Foundation. By offering skill development programs at ASDC Kymore, the initiative is empowering young women who previously lacked access to such resources. The goal is to provide them with opportunities to build sustainable livelihoods and improve their quality of life.
Success Stories of Transformation
Two young women, Nisha Dahiya and Swati Patel, have experienced significant changes in their lives thanks to ASDC.
Nisha, a 22-year-old from the remote village of Bhaiswahi, Katni district, had to leave her education behind due to financial difficulties. After enrolling in the warehouse packer course at ASDC, she secured a job at Amazon India in Sanand, Gujarat, with a monthly salary of INR 18,000. Reflecting on her journey, Nisha said,
“The skills I learned at ASDC Kymore gave me a chance to stand on my own feet and support my family.”
Swati Patel, from Dithwara, Katni, took the same course and now works at Yazaki India, earning INR 13,500 a month. Her sister Priyanka also benefited from the center’s offerings, training as a beautician and opening her own beauty parlour.
“The training gave us not only job opportunities but also the confidence to achieve more in life,” said Swati.
A Pathway to Sustainable Livelihoods
ACC and the Adani Foundation are committed to providing high-quality training that meets industry standards, ensuring graduates can secure stable employment. These initiatives are not just about job creation but are paving the way for long-term development and self-reliance.
Building Brighter Futures
Through their programs, ACC and the Adani Foundation are helping families in rural areas break free from poverty cycles. Their efforts are transforming individuals into skilled professionals, which in turn benefits entire communities.
The ASDC at ACC Kymore stands as a testament to how skill development can drive social and economic progress in India’s rural heartland.
