Patna: Amidst the recent rains and floods which ravaged many parts of Bihar and resulted in massive, ACC Limited has stepped in with resources, manpower and logistical support to provide on-ground relief.
Neeraj Akhoury, MD & CEO, ACC Limited said, “Going far beyond financial contribution, teams of ACC employees are on ground in Bihar, ensuring that we use the Company’s resources to provide immediate relief in the form of food, water, clothing and more to the impacted people.”
A fully equipped medical team along with an Ambulance with Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) facility and medicines is driving through affected areas helping ill and old age people who are in need of medical assistance.
As the calamity unfolded, ACC established a Core Action Group and Control Center in Patna to co-ordinate relief measures in various districts. ACC’s employee volunteers have been spending the last few days personally distributing relief materials to the marooned people, providing them with drinking water, grocery items, food kits, candles, clothes and tarpaulins.
The leadership team at ACC has leveraged the company’s resources through ACC TRUST, to support relief, while also collaborating and mobilizing its channel partners to help in these efforts.
Teams from ACC’s plants in Bargarh, Chaibasa, Damodhar and Sindri, besides providing agile and immediate assistance, supported in setting up temporary medical clinics, to provide free treatment and medicines to prevent an outbreak of epidemics in these villages.

46 hundred relief kits of food, candles, clothing, drinking water and tarpaulins kits, were distributed by ACC’s Taskforce through it logistics hubs for relief material distribution.
In May, The company had extended support to Cyclone Fani victims in Odisha with resources, manpower and logistical support to provide immediate on-ground relief and rehabilitation to assist people and local authorities in the worst affected cyclone-hit regions of Odisha.
