DELL Technologies along with Friends Union for Energising Lives (FUEL), launched Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) Enhancement Program – making youth Ready through Future Skills Initiative, a CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility initiative that aims to impact over 68,000 students from 54 Defence schools.
The program aims towards building a community where students and teachers share ideas, learning and help each other to innovate.
Eminent dignitaries Dr. Ajay Kumar, IAS, Defence Secretary at Government of India; Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Mission Director for Atal Innovation Mission at Government of India; Alok Ohrie, President and Managing Director at Dell Technologies graced the event with their gracious presence.
Archana Sahay, CSR Head – APJ, Dell Technologies, and Deepali Upadhyay, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog also marked an appreciable presence for the event. Over 5000 students attended the event.
The program kick-started with value-added engagement and interaction with students by renowned speakers, followed by an introduction of the program and a welcome note by the CEO of FUEL, Ketan Deshpande.
After raising the curtain of the ATL Enhancement Program, Dr. Ajay Kumar IAS, Defence Secretary at Government of India said, “I want to thank FUEL for giving me this opportunity of communicating with all the students through this medium. I want to thank “Atal Innovation Mission” who brought new energy towards innovation in the entire country and because of whom now every child is aware of innovation. And I want to thank Dell Technologies because of whom this “ATL Enhancement Program” would not have been possible. If we look at New India, in regards to innovation, the youth is doing such an incredible revolution that it’s unbelievable for even the world.”
To prepare future workforce this training will include:
- Increasing self-awareness of the youth & helping them to understand the aspects of the corporate settings.
- Educating them about various career paths and training them with advanced technology under Futuristic Skills like Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing.
- Helping them pursue their chosen path by enlightening them more from the industry experts talks.
The program will be assisting schools to develop Atal Tinkering Labs to enhance the learning experience of the students. They will also have to submit a monthly mini project which they will execute in ATL labs. They will be exposed to various latest skills and technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Digital Marketing, Robotics, Advance mathematics, etc. Students will undergo various career counseling sessions in addition to participating in career Olympiad competitions. 360 degree continuous support and guidance will be provided to get the best outcome from this initiative.
