Climate Change, Population, Pollution, Corruption are problems that plague many parts of the planet. Traditional approaches have been tried and most have been unsuccessful. We need innovative, out of the box thinking – a new approach to address these problems.
DS Social Innovation Grant is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of DS Group to encourage and support different innovative ideas/ interventions to address these challenges. A new approach means doing experiments and seeing what works.
The Grant is conceptualized to support such experimental projects.
“We solicit dreamers and innovators to submit concepts that they believe can change the world. For e.g. you have an idea to remove social prejudice and need funds to try a social experiment. Or you need funds to develop a prototype that can make water potable or help sustain water or reduce crop damage due to stray/wild animals. If we find your idea interesting – we will fund it for a year and if your impact is good, we will give additional funding to scale it up.”, DS Group said.
The grant is open for Indian registered NON-Profit organization as well as individual(s) who have well design intervention plans to address the present social and environmental problems.
The NON-Profit organization should have proven track record in the delivery of quality services in specific fields, good implementation history, a capacity of personnel to manage the project on prescribed schedules and targets.
For individual(s), DS Group is willing to accept entries who may not have experience in the social field but are passionate to make a change.
You must be an Indian citizen, above 18 years of age. Since you may not have prior track record we will judge you solely based upon the amount of effort you put in your submission. So do not simply send us an idea.
Instead send a detailed project report with clearly defined objectives, strategies, activities and outcome.
Preference will be given to Projects that can be implemented in the Noida and Greater Noida (Gautam Budh Nagar district) of Uttar Pradesh in following thematic areas: Environment, Livelihood, Education and any other specific solution that can impact positively on the communities in defined geographical areas
