Sesa Sterlite join hands with Maa Santosi Hospital

LANJIGARH: Today Mr Balabhadra Majhi, MLA Lanjigarh has attended as chief guest in the One day Project launching of operation and maintenance Ceremony of Maa Santosi Janakalyan Hospital.
Now Sesa sterlite came forward to support the hospital towards serving the poor tribal and community of the region. Basically the Hospital is situated at the border of Kalahandi district at a distance of 85 k.m from District head quarter and 50 k.m from Block head Quarter.
Other dignitaries presented on the stage are Mrs Srimati Majhi-Zilla Parishad Chair Person (Kalahandi), Koustav Ratan Kundu-Head HR, Rajendra Singhdeo-ZP Member, Jagadish Benia-Vice Chairman Lanjigarh P.S, Sridhar Pesnia-President Hospital Management Committee, Mathuram Agrawal-Trustee member ,Er Niranjan Panda, Niranjan Nanda etc.
On his Speech MLA Lanjigarh praised Sesa sterlite for such noble cause and advised to provide better health care service in this remote area with specialist doctors from Vedanta Hospital and emphasized on infrastructural development.

Sesa Sterlite under its Corporate Social responsibilities has been doing various developmental activities with a top priority on health always.
Maa Santoshi Janakalyan Foundation, Haridwar, Uttaranchal, during March 2002 established and started with 10 bedded hospital at Bankakunduru initially which is situated 18 kms from Lanjigarh in a remote forest area in Lanjigarh Block of Kalahandi known as Maa Santoshi Janakalyan Foundation Hospital. It was established with a view to give free medical treatment and free medicines to SC & ST and other poor people of the area. The residence of 5 GPs of Lanjigarh Block is being benefitted by the hospital. The hospital since its inception is rendering free health service to both indoor & outdoor patients round the clock.
Over last few months the hospital is undergoing through severe financial crisis. The Hospital has come to a situation of being close down. In order to continue the running of Hospital, Sesa Sterlite Ltd. has agreed to provide support to manage and improve the condition of services rendered by hospital.
Others presented in this function are Biraja Mund-GM Power Plant, Y.V.Ramana-Head Laboratory, Ranjan Sharma, Sidhartha Behera, Srikant Bohidar,Srimukh Agasty ,Dasrath Majhi,Basu Majhi,Anant Nag etc. Lastly the staffs from SSL have distributed the blankets among the villagers from Bijepur, Pahadpadar,Pradhani pada, Bakakunduru,mali jubanga etc. Sesa Sterlite under its CSR program has been doing various health awareness projects providing quality health care at doorstep and Vedanta Hospital has been serving the community with free medical treatment, free medicine, Mobile health facilities, free cleft lip and palate surgery.
