DEHRADUN: People from all over the country have been extending their help & support for the redevelopment and rebuilding of Uttarakhand consequent to the damaged s caused by last year’s Himalayan Tsunami. one such noteworthy contribution has come from “Strides Foundation” , based at Bangalore along with Dehradun based non-profit organization “Society for Inclusive Development (SFID), which has been relentlessly working in the flood affected areas for the last seven months.
A Joint agreement was signed today with the Department of Child and Women Development, Govt. of Uttarakhand with Strides Foundation and SFID in which Strides Foundation along with SFID will reconstruct eight partially and fully damaged Anaganwari’s in Purola Block of Uttarakshi Distt. as part of their CSR activities. The foundation has ambition of brining the latest tools of learning for the children and plan to make these Anaganwari’s a hub of social and cultural activities in the area.
The MOU (Memorandum of Understanding ) was signed byMukul Chawdhary, DPO (Distt Program Office), Dr. P Sathyanarayn, Managing Trustee Strides Foundation, Manoj Sharma, and Anil Jaggi of SFID Dehradun in presence of Dr. PD Mathur Distt. Coordinator UN DMT, DS Patwal DDMO, Smt Meena Sah from ICDS.
Sridhar Babu Adhanki, IAS Distt. Magistrate – Uttarkashi, appreciated the efforts of Strides Foundation and SFID and assured to extend full support for this activity. He also shown keen interest in visiting these locations and to provide timely suggestions for the project and to make these Anagnwaris a role model to emulate across the state.
