NEW DELHI (India CSR): Swami Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra, Bhimpur, Unit–6, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The program was graced by respected guests, teachers, students, and parents who gathered to honor the spirit of freedom.
Established in 1995, Swami Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra is a special Odia medium school dedicated to providing value-based quality education to the underprivileged children of the locality. The institution is not only a temple of learning but also a center for nurturing India’s rich cultural heritage. With classes from Kindergarten to Class VIII, the school emphasizes academic excellence, co-curricular activities, and spiritual growth through teachings from the Geeta, Bhagavat Mahapurana, and Ramayana. Daily prayer assemblies also include transcendental meditation, reinforcing the school’s motto of “Career and Character Building.”

On this Independence Day, the celebrations began with the unfurling of the National Flag followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Students presented patriotic songs, speeches, and cultural programs showcasing India’s unity in diversity. The guests highlighted the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and encouraged students to imbibe values of discipline, dedication, and love for the motherland.

The Founder of the school, Swami Muktananda, extended heartfelt gratitude to all present and emphasized the need to instill patriotism and moral values in young minds. The occasion was further enriched by the presence of Shri Abhijit Chakrabarty, Research Analyst Officer, IICA, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, who graced the session as a special guest. As part of the celebration, the school also organized a social activity where students actively participated in a community cleanliness drive and planted saplings to promote environmental awareness. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the distribution of sweets among students.
The celebration not only paid tribute to the nation’s glorious past but also inspired everyone to contribute towards building a stronger and brighter India.
