CM Vishnu Deo Sai Thanks PM Modi and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the Farmers’ Welfare Initiative
RAIPUR (Chhattisgarh): Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), more than 1.41 lakh farmers in Chhattisgarh have received a total of Rs. 152.84 crore directly into their bank accounts. The amount credited aims to compensate for crop losses while providing crucial economic security to the farming community.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, stating that under their visionary leadership, PMFBY has emerged as a protective shield for farmers across the nation.
Highlighting the nationwide impact, the Chief Minister noted that over 30 lakh farmers across India have collectively benefited from more than ₹3,200 crore in insurance claim payouts today. “Protecting our annadatas and ensuring their prosperity remains our highest priority. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the Union Agriculture Minister, new avenues for farmers’ economic security and growth have opened,” he said.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment, CM Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government will continue to implement central welfare schemes with full transparency and efficiency. He added that these initiatives will not only make the state’s farmers economically stronger but also move them closer to the goal of self-reliance.
