NEW DELHI: DLF Foundation was established in 2008 as the philanthropic arm of DLF Limited, to provide structure and focus to the ongoing social responsibility initiatives of the company. A number of rural Education, Training, Health and Environment initiatives have been taken by the Foundation since its incorporation and it looks forward to creating new innovative precedents in areas of rural education, health and labour care.
It is spearheaded under the aegis Lt Gen Rajender Singh (Retd), CEO of DLF Foundation. It is registered under the laws of India as a charitable organization and has been actively working towards the emancipation of the downtrodden and underprivileged. They majorly take care of Skill development initiatives, provide scholarships to deserving students, adoption of rural cluster villages and et all.
The DLF Foundation brings in the best practices in the field of skills training, along with providing employment to the trained workforce ensuring both personality development and quality living for the trained youth. Training is imparted in the areas of IT, Customer relations and Sales, Retail, Hospitality and a host of other areas including Construction. Their centres are based on international best practices adapted to the Indian environment.
Their mandate is crystal clear – empower youth with employable skills. With a total outlay of Rs. 30 crores which the DLF Foundation intends to spend on skill development, it will establish 250 skill training centres across the country to train 1 million youth.
