MUMBAI: Ashraya, a social impact organization, has partnered with the Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) to improve the quality of education in its 1100 municipal schools. The partnership aims to create a world-class digital learning ecosystem that is affordable, viable, replicable, and scalable.
The first school to benefit from the program is the D N Nagar School in Andheri, which has already seen encouraging results. The school has been equipped with digital boards and software that has helped teachers and students enhance the teaching and learning experience.
“We look forward to extending the program to all 1100 BMC schools.”, organization said.
Ashraya plans to extend the program to all 1100 BMC schools, but the cost of the project is estimated to be around Rs. 2,200 Crores. To make a significant impact, Ashraya has decided to invest at the level of critical mass to ensure that the benefits are visible and recognizable beyond the environs of their own organization, the organization said.
Ashraya invites CSR leaders to join hands and contribute to the cause of improving education in municipal schools. The partnership between Ashraya and BMC highlights the importance of working together to create meaningful change and positively impact the lives of students and teachers.
The initiative by Ashraya and BMC is expected to revolutionize the education system in BMC schools and serve as an inspiration for other organizations to invest in similar initiatives. The partnership is a significant step towards providing equal opportunities for education and bridging the digital divide in India.
