The HP Virtual Lab for Teachers Training will serve as a base model lab for NCERT and an inspiration for State Councils of Educational Research and Training (SCERTs) to establish their labs in the region.
HP India and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish the first-ever “HP Virtual Reality Lab for Teachers Training & R&D” within the NCERT premises in Delhi.
The lab will be focused on creating content focusing on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality by creating a large repository of curated content through a team of experts.
The lab will have state-of-the-art equipment, including VR Ready Computers, VR Headsets, and controllers, printers, scanners, and networked with the most modern software. The project will be implemented in partnership with one of India’s leading NGOs, SARD Society for All Round Development.

The HP Virtual Lab for Teachers Training will serve as a base model lab for NCERT and an inspiration for State Councils of Educational Research and Training (SCERTs) to establish their labs in the region.
The lab will also help in adapting NCERT content to the local geographies with appropriate cultural integration and translation.
The MOU was executed at the NCERT premises between HP India Acting MD Gurpreet Singh Brar, NCERT Director Prof. Dinesh Saklani, and Director of Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) Prof. Amarendra Behera. This project is part of HP India’s CSR initiatives and will help improve the quality of education in India.
