The teams from Chanderiya Lead-Zinc Smelter, Dariba Smelting Complex, Rampura Agucha and Kayad Mines, and Pantnagar Metal Plant brought home the prestigious honours
Hindustan Zinc, a leading producer of integrated Zinc-Lead-Silver, swooped in 13 awards in various categories at the Quality Circle Forum of India’s (QCFI) 46th International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) 2021 held in Hyderabad. The event’s theme was ‘Quality Concepts Facilitating Societal and Economic Turnaround’, where teams presented case studies and achieved this feat.
The Quality Circle Forum of India provides various teams with an opportunity to showcase and demonstrate their ability to deal with problems by using quality control tools. It also provides a platform for many organizations and firms to be a part of various activities organized by them.
Hindustan Zinc’s teams won under the ‘Par Excellence’ and ‘Excellence’ categories. The Par Excellence awards were presented to two teams from the Dariba Smelting Complex, two from Pantnagar Metal Plant, one from Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter Unit-2, one from Chanderiya CPP, and one team each from Rampura Agucha Mine and Kayad Mine.
In addition, three teams from Chanderiya Lead-Zinc Smelter-Unit 2 and Pyro Unit 1, as well as one team each from Pantnagar Metal Plant and Rampura Agucha Mine, won the Excellence Awards.
