NGO AROH Foundation was awarded the prestigious “Mahatma Award for Social Good 21” for its extraordinary contribution towards the various social causes for the past 20 years. The Award was presented to Dr. Neelam Gupta, Founder & CEO, AROH Foundation at the India International Centre on 1st October 2021 in Delhi.
Honorable Governor of Puducherry Ms. Kiran Bedi conferred the award to Dr Gupta. Mrs. Rajashree Birla (Chairperson, Aditya Birla Group), Mr. Amit Sachdeva (Founder Mahatma awards and more famously known as ‘The CSR Man of India’), and many other eminent members solicited the occasion with their presence.
On the occasion, Dr Gupta said, “For past 20 years, team AROH has been working fingers to bone towards elevating social good index within people of almost 18 states of India. Despite all hardships, we have been successful to touch lives of more than 5 lakh people by far. We were one of the few NGOs of India, who could inculcate all 17 SDGs of United Nations in our interventions. The 3Ts -Technology, Transparency and Time-Bound were pillars of our working. It gives us a feeling of gratification and achievement to be acknowledged and appreciated by for the efforts and vision we have been taking up. We are dedicated towards serving the needy in all possible capacity and we pledge to keep up the decorum and belief of this award.”
The event also had deliberations and reflections by the thought leaders on the Importance of Social Work and Development in India.
