NEW DELHI (India CSR): NIIT Foundation, a not-for-profit organization established by the promoters of NIIT, has made a significant impact in FY24, upskilling nearly 93,000 beneficiaries across India through its collaborative initiative, NReach. This program, designed to enhance skill development and education, partners with NGOs nationwide to empower India’s youth.
Expanding Reach and Impact
Responding to the needs of India’s vast young population, the NReach program has successfully established partnerships with over 110 NGOs, setting up 400 centers across 27 states. In the fiscal year 2023-2024, the program trained 92,952 beneficiaries, with 34,148 individuals securing placements in various job roles.
Comprehensive Support for NGOs
The NReach program provides partner NGOs with comprehensive support, including faculty training, curriculum development, assessments, and industry-recognized certification. Capacity-building workshops and placement orientations further equip organizations to execute their programs successfully.
Leadership’s Vision
Charu Kapoor, Country Director at NIIT Foundation, stated, “Our aim in developing the NReach initiative was two-fold: to enhance the capacities of our partner NGOs in driving their initiatives successfully, while allowing NIIT Foundation to broaden its influence and effectiveness throughout the country. Looking ahead, we hope to continually expand our NReach network and impact more underserved beneficiaries in partnership with other NGOs.”
Collaborative Efforts with Renowned Organizations
NIIT Foundation has partnered with renowned organizations like Smile Foundation, Magic Bus India Foundation, VIDYA, SOS Children’s Villages of India, Save The Children India, Catalyst for Social Action, Kotak Education Foundation, and the National Federation of the Blind. These collaborations have maximized the impact of upskilling initiatives across India.
A Testament to Empowering India’s Youth
As NIIT Foundation continues its mission to bridge the skills gap and create employment opportunities, the NReach program stands as a testament to the power of collaborative efforts in empowering India’s youth.
