NEW DELHI: Tech Mahindra Foundation, the CSR arm of Tech Mahindra Ltd. is ready to take up the Indian Healthcare Infrastructure to another level with its Employment drive to create more job opportunities in paramedical sector.
Started with an idea to contribute towards healthcare infrastructure, Tech Mahindra Foundation’s Employment drive #Mainbhihero focuses on creating a pool of skilled healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds and providing placement opportunities to them with the country’s leading hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Commenting on the onset of Employment drive, Dr. Loveleen Kacker, CEO of Tech Mahindra Foundation said, “At the Tech Mahindra SMART Academies for Healthcare, we are trying to change the definition of the word Hero. The youth come here as Students and leaves as Healthcare Professionals with lifelong skills,employment, and a feeling to serve and improve the healthcare services of our country. Now that’s exactly like a Hero.”.”
After creating a cadre of well trained healthcare professionals in Delhi, Mohali & Vishakhapatnam, Tech Mahindra Foundation has also launches its state-of-the-art SMART academy for Healthcare in Mumbai.
“Our new step towards setting up a SMART academy in Mumbai will not only enable the youth from low income group to pursue paramedics as a career but also empower them to live their life with dignity with our exceptional training program and employability initiative,” Dr. Loveleen added.
SMART academy for healthcare aims at bridging the skill gap prevailing in our healthcare infrastructure. To provide unparalleled theory classes, the academy has empanelled highly experienced faculty and guests; and set up a modern classroom infrastructure with modern audio video equipments and demo rooms.
For practical and hands on training, the academy has on- boarded some reputed hospitals & Medical Care Providers like Max healthcare, Fortis etc as their Training & Placement partners to make it a complete cycle of education & employability.
To provide realistic paramedical environment to students, the SMART academy is equipped with Operation Theatre laboratory, X-ray laboratory, Dialysis laboratory, an Advanced Life-Saving ambulance and Basic Skills laboratory. There are also other student facilities including a computer lab, library, canteen and facilities for sports and recreation.
In addition, special attention is paid towards creating a sense of social responsibility in students and developing soft-skills in them to succeed in the healthcare sector.
SMART Academy has trained over many young men and women from diverse backgrounds and contributed towards country’s healthcare infrastructure facing the shortage of skilled healthcare professionals.
