We have immense pleasure in informing you that we ( Indian Center for CSR) have formally launched our World Class Master of Science in “CSR & Ethical Management” Program from University of Applied Sciences, Vienna at Mumbai on 30 Sep 2013. The first batch consists of students from countries premier institutions and have varies degree of experience as some of them have excelled in their respective fields. Due to demand from several students, we are now launching a “Catch-up Program” starting from 05 Jan 2014.

You can choose from any of the following modes:
MS in “CSR & Ethical Management”- Full time (12 months)
MS in “CSR & Ethical Management”- For Working Professionals (Distance learning mode requiring 10 days of in-campus learning every quarter and rest through digital media)
All students will be required to go to Vienna for two weeks to complete two modules, thesis submission and final examinations. As you are aware, the recent Bill passed by Parliament, the career opportunity for these postgraduates are expected to undergo a big boost.
The program will help fill the gap that exists in the country for trained CSR Managers in the corporate India. The flavor of the programme is international in nature and the University does all the evaluations centrally. The faculty consists of both international and Indian professors and corporate professionals.
According to recent media report, compulsory corporate social responsibility is likely to increase the demand for professionals in this field by as much as 50% in the coming years and the industry is likely to see at least 50,000 more job opportunities in the CSR sector.
Globally,Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (CSR) has evolved from a buzzword to standard business practice and organization are integrating CSR in the core business strategic. It has said that CSR can become a key differentiator as hard core business practice for firms and can lead to improved profitability and sustainability.
The New Companies Bill- 2012 mandates that all companies having turnover of Rs 500 Crores or more to have a CSR division and to spend 2% of their profit on CSR activities. The total amount expected to be spent on CSR activities under this bill, would be about Rs 24000 crores which would create an unprecedented need for qualified and competent CSR personnel.
Many multinationals based in India would also be looking for professionals who bring CSR expertise while building their international operations. CSR is evolving in Europe and America with many transnational making CSR, ethics and sustainability an increasingly important part of their business strategy.
