The film acknowledges Dr Ambedkar’s vision to create a nation on the firm grounds of democracy and social justice along with development opportunity for all. Both, central and state Govts are launching various social development projects on the special occasion.

Rusen Kumar, who filed numerous RTI request and letters to the Prime Minister and concerned Ministries said, “It is great time for all who love Dr. B.R Ambedkar and his vision on equality and justice. The life of great man is a source of inspiration for crores of people in India and across the globe.”

rusen-kumarRusen Kumar added, “I thank our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and his team to take the subject seriously and decided to celebrate the birth anniversary in a great manner.”

Rusen Kumar further said the movie, is extremely motivating and encouraging. It is a very significant movie about India that covers various aspects related to social, economic and political scenarios of pre-independent and modern India.

Last year, Rusen Kumar, a resident of Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, who is a leading social icon in the space of Corporate Social Responsibility and online influencer, and the founder of IndiaCSR, a leading web portal, has asked the Government through various RTI requests in this subject in which NFDCL has clearly acknowledged that the movie is based on the life of Dr. Ambedkar, and it has not been broadcasted even once on Doordarshan – India’s Central Government founded public service broadcaster.

Rusen Kumar said, “This movie was made to acknowledge the contributions of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, to propel his life learning and messages, so that Dr. Ambedkar is always remembered for his life time contributions. But it is extremely unfortunate that even after 15 years of the movie being made, the people are deprived from it. It was extremely unfortunate that this movie could not be aired even on Dr. Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary (April 14, 2015)!”

The movie is available in seven India languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati and Oriya, part from English. In spite of availability in multi languages, the movie has been broadcasted twice on two public broadcasters – in Tamil on Doordarshan 5 (Podhigai) and on Rajya Sabha TV on the Constitution Day.

Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar (1891-1965) is the globally acclaimed thinker, jurist, economist, politician and great social reformer and has given incomparable contribution to development of India.  He was country’s first law minister and the principal architect of the Constitution of India. Such a great personality and social icon deserves much public recognition long after he has gone from this world. This can be achieved through propagation and dissemination of his inspiring messages and by keeping public well aware of his contributions to the nation.
