Jindal Steel & Power has announced a package of Medical assistance for the injured in the skirmish on 25 January inside the Plant premises. This is the second tripartite meeting conducted on the isuue under the chairmanship of the Dist Collector.  Out of 20 demands of the Prajasngha, 13 were agreed in the first meeting held on 3 February. It may be mentioned that JSPL had  already announced  best medical care for the injured  and  has already deposited Rs.15 lakh with the Dist. Administration as the first installment  for treatment of the  injured on the incident of  25January  .

The Praja Sangha has declared that the discussions have been very fruitful and satisfactory and have assured to extend all cooperation for project construction activities. The Office Bearers of Praja Sangha have expressed  that  they  sincerely expect JSPL  addressing  to the  genuine demands of the Project Impacted  People from time to time.

“This is a Community driven Plant and is being built with the sweat and skill of the local Community. We shall continue our good work for the sustainable development of the local Community.

Besides my Dept Heads, I am personally meeting the People every Friday to address their problems.  We are thankful to the District and Police Administration for reaching to the People and bring all the stakeholders to one Forum to discuss and negotiate the issues. This has reinforced every one’s belief that face to face discussion is the most effective way to resolve the issues between the Project Authorities and the local  Community”, said Rajesh Jha, the Executive Director of JSPL, Angul.
