NEW DELHI: One Day Workshop on Understanding ISO 26000 : Workshop on CSR Guidelines to be organized on 28th January 2012 (Saturday) at Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi.
The standard “ISO 26000 Guidance on Social Responsibility” can be considered an interesting guideline for creating Sustainable Competitive Advantage by the Organisations. This type of “guidance standard” is new and the world needs to learn that it offers recommendations, advice, proposals, and orientation; nothing less, nothing more. It is directed to organizations, not to individuals.
It was published in November 2010, and one of its greatest benefits so far is boosting the global discussion on social responsibility, i.e. the discussion “on what should be a better social behaviour of organizations”. The guidance in ISO 26000 draws on best practice developed by existing public and private sector Sustainability Reporting initiatives.
NCR Consultants Limited, in association with Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi, is shouldering the responsibility to help the organizations understand the complicacies and the procedures for ISO 26000 for CSR initiatives by them. In the workshop we have Renowned Resource Persons like Prof. JORDI GRIERA (Member of the Committee for ISO 26000) from Spain and Dr. R. S. MURALI (MD, NCR Consultants Limited) who is very senior consultant in the area.
