JHARSUGUDA: Sesa Sterlite Limited, Jharsuguda unit (a Vedanta Group Company) has won CII (Odisha) Award in the category ‘Best Practices in Safety, Health & Environment’. The Award was received by Head HSE,Mr D K Singh accompanied by Mr Krutisunder Mohapatra on behalf of the company from Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik during the 18th edition of ENTERPRISE ODISHA 2013, the largest Trade Fair of the state, jointly organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region and Govt. of Odisha held at IDCO Exhibition Ground, Bhubaneswar on 22nd Nov 2013.
This award has been conferredfor the vision and exemplary commitment of the organisation towards Environmental Responsibility, concern for Occupational Health and Safety of employees and society as a whole.
The objective of this award is to evaluate an organization’s interest towards the well-being of its employees through adequate measures, not only for the Regulatory requirements, but also as a part of the Management’s Commitment towards ensuring that the workforce is amply protected through effective Safety, Health & Environment measures.
