HYDERABAD: A one-day national seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility will be held at Haritha Plaza Hotel, Greenlands, Hyderabad  on February 4 which will be attended by Rusen Kumar, Founder and Director of INDIACSR (www.indiacsr.in) besides stake holders from various fields. Organizer of the event is Pragati Youth Development Society (PYDS),  severs as a bridge between grass-root NGOs and the Corporates CSR.

pragati ngoThe Seminar, organized by Pragati, a voluntary organisation working for the development of youth and students, will discuss among other things the role of Corporates in the social development and the relevance of social uplift.

pragati ngoThe responsibility of the corporate in the social sector will be highlighted by Mr Rusen Kumar, who is the founder of India CSR organization and throws up opportunities for all stake holders to know about the CSR and the events that are taking place in the corporate world.

With his rich experience, Rusen Kumar will narrate the scope, reason and the need of CSR and how it helps in building a healthy society.

Rusen Kumar is a seasoned professional having very strong inter personal skills with strong professional ties across the globe. He has been consistent in delivering excellence in various domain areas of social entrepreneurship, social journalism and social economic development and has contributed phenomenally in bringing about radical change in life and life style of people from various strata of society.

Besides Rusen Kumar, the speakers from the media fraternity, Chartered Accountants and NGOs will be speaking at the seminar.

The other speakers include Viswanath K, Founder of Pragati Youth Development Society (PYDS), who has digitally empowered thousands of NGOs at various levels in India.

Pragati Youth Development Society (PYDS) CEO, V.I.Chandrakanth, who has nearly two decades of experience working in the field of international philanthropy and fundraising, will also be speaking at the Seminar.

The concept for Pragati Youth Development Society is to help reduce these barriers for NGOs and practitioners at all levels, and of all sizes and sophistication. Providing users with free alerts on funding availability was an important first step. Starting out only a few years back with a trickle of few NGOs, the PYDS team is now generating donors and reaching out to many NGOs across Asia.

Viswanath, one of the Founder and Managing Trustee of Pragati Youth Development Society, leads the operations Nationwide. Viswanath is an accomplished journalist and social researcher with extensive experience in the field of sustainable development. Having worked in India and with various grassroots-oriented community organizations drives his desire to work for sustainable civil society development. In starting Pragati Youth Development Society, Viswanath has digitally empowered thousands of NGOs at all levels in India.

CEO of Pragati Youth Development Society operations in India, V.I.Chandrakanth has nearly two decades of experience working in the field of international philanthropy and fundraising.  His international experience includes growing up in Europe and working in Asia, Africa, and the United States. A successful international project manager and fundraising professional, V.I.Chandrakanth has raised hundreds of millions for numerous projects from a wide variety of government agencies, foundations, and institutions. Pragati Youth Development Society believes that no intervention can be successful unless the implementing organization has sustainable resources to work over a longer period of time.
