Globalization is no more a recent phenomenon in the world’s socio-economic system. The impact of globalization has been uneven and responses to it are varied in terms of its positive and negative dimensions the world over. It has brought about changes in the business environment resulting into heightened competition, growth of the service sector and conduction of the business across the border. The process of globalization has forced the organizations to change their system, management, culture and philosophy.

The systems of engineering education across the world are expanding and becoming more and more inclusive and globalize in the era of globalization, privatization and the revolution in information and communication technologies (ICT). This is partly due to the ever increasing aspirations of the people for engineering education. On one hand, there is need to expand the horizons of engineering education in view of the demand for the same and on the other hand there are quite a few critical impediments which come in the way of this expansion.

The issues like management and administration of Engineering education, pedagogy of Engineering education, re-engineering the process and structure of Engineering education, bench-marking for future growth and development of Engineering education in India, role of ICTs in shaping the existing system in changing scenario of globalization and issues of privatization, governance, autonomy, accountability, accreditation, getting trained manpower in the field of Engineering education for sustainable growth and development of nation at par with developed nations etc. are some of the issues that have become critical and crucial for the governance of Engineering education sector in India.

The conference will commence with an introductory Keynote session, plenary sessions, workshops and symposium after which Technical sessions will be held for deliberations on various heads with their predetermined themes and sub themes on the basis of research papers submitted.
