NEW DELHI: Institute for Integrated Rural Development (IIRD), Shimla (www.iirdshimla.org), is organizing one day national conference on the theme of “CSR in India: Emerging Issues, Challenges and Strategies” at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on November 27, 2013.

INDIACSR is the online media partner for the Event.

IIRD-Shimla is a non-profit making organization dedicated for bringing rural prosperity through research and studies, trainings and capacity building, technical support & intervention of appropriate rural technology and institutional networking in the national and global perspective.

This conference aims at reaching beyond academic research and business operations. It will facilitate the assembly of many eminent speakers, luminaries from the corporate and non-profit world and shall witness how the synergies drawn from various organizations will help in devising an effective Action-Plan for strengthening implementation, impacts and implications of CSR in the country.

The Conference is being organized at a time when the ‘Companies Act- 2013’ enacted recently has led to a momentous development in the field of CSR in the country and many of the stakeholders are yet in the process of creating better understanding pertaining to CSR in light of the new Companies Act.

Considering the significance of the theme, this conference is organized to provide a forum, initiate a dialogue and enlighten the participants on creating a competitive edge for the respective organizations in the field of CSR besides devising concrete strategies of bringing sustainable impact of the CSR initiatives. The Conference will chalk out an effective road-map of CSR in the country in the wake of the passage of the Companies Act 2013.
